3D BIM Revit Ready Models

Accurate BIM-ready Revit models created from survey-grade laser scanning and measured building data for commercial, heritage and complex projects.

What is Revit Modelling?

Revit modelling is the process of creating an intelligent 3D digital model of a building using BIM (Building Information Modelling) software. Unlike traditional 2D CAD drawings, Revit models contain coordinated architectural, structural and spatial data that can be used throughout the full lifecycle of a project.

At Fosse Surveying, our Revit models are created using survey-grade laser scanning and measured building data, ensuring the model accurately reflects existing site conditions. This allows architects, engineers and contractors to coordinate designs more effectively, reduce clashes and work from a reliable digital representation of the building.

3D BIM Revit models are particularly valuable for commercial refurbishments, redevelopment projects, asset management and complex buildings where accurate existing-condition data is critical to successful project delivery.

Built for Commercial & Complex Environments

3D BIM Revit modelling is particularly effective on large-scale and technically complex projects where coordination between multiple disciplines is essential. From commercial offices and industrial facilities to healthcare environments and heritage buildings, accurate BIM-ready models help project teams visualise spaces more clearly and make informed decisions earlier in the design process.

By integrating measured survey data, point clouds and coordinated modelling workflows, Fosse Surveying provides dependable digital building information that supports planning, refurbishment, compliance and long-term asset management.

Why Revit Modelling Is Essential for Modern Building Projects

3D Revit modelling allows architects, engineers and contractors to work from a coordinated digital model that accurately represents existing building conditions. Unlike traditional CAD workflows, BIM-ready Revit models improve collaboration, streamline design coordination and support more efficient project delivery across commercial and complex developments.

When combined with survey-grade laser scanning and measured building data, Revit models provide a dependable foundation for refurbishment, redevelopment, asset management and construction planning.

Why 3D BIM Revit Models Matter

Design versatility

Multiple coordinated views allow teams to visualise, review and develop designs more efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

Improved collaboration

Shared BIM models help architects, engineers and contractors work from one coordinated source of project information.

Intelligent parametric data

Embedded model data automatically updates schedules, quantities and design changes, improving workflow efficiency and coordination.

Reduces risk & rework

Accurate BIM-ready models help identify clashes earlier, reducing redesign work, delays and costly construction issues.

FAQs

All projects vary from the size of the properties to the extent of what we can include within the model. Please contact us to discuss your project and scope.

Unlike AutoCAD, Revit allows all project data to be stored in a single project file, permitting users to work on the same project file and merge changes with every save. All changes in Revit are coordinated across the entire project, so a change in one place (view) is a simultaneous change in all views.

If you’re already familiar with AutoCAD, it may be easier for you to learn some of the modelling aspects of Revit. However long it takes to learn, Revit is considered an industry standard.

No, building information modelling is the process of 3D modelling whilst Revit is the software that enables the creation of a 3D model. Although we use Revit to create our BIM ready 3D models, other programs exist and we can output file types compatible with them.

Yes, but it is also popular among interior designers and engineers as it is a great tool for complex projects, due to its functionality and collaborative capabilities.

For the BIM community, Revit 2022 offers more workflow solutions such as better route analysis, improvements to generative design and phased parameters in a view filter.

Our Promise

We promise to lay an accurate foundation of your digital project with an existing phase BIM ready Revit model.

In conjunction with our 3D Laser Scanning services, we examine the highly accurate point cloud of your site to reverse engineer buildings and land, producing digital twins of reality. We have a humble in-house team with over 10+ years of experience, committed to creating the best, bespoke BIM models tailored to your requirements.

Using state-of-the-art equipment, we realise the importance of providing an accurate and intelligent BIM of a plot of land or building to a design team. If the initial existing phase of the BIM is constructed properly, it can pay for itself many times over throughout the life of a project.

At Fosse Surveying, we have a great understanding of the importance of BIM (Building Information Modelling) in the Construction and Design Industries. BIM allows for greater intelligence to be extracted and injected into a project than a traditional 2D drawing would. As well as a super-accurate 3D model, your traditional 2D Plans, Sections and Elevations can still easily be exported to ensure consistent and reliable data.
